Updated Oaky & Smoky BBQ Sauce is near!

We're thrilled that our new, corn-syrup-free Oaky & Smoky BBQ sauce is a short week away from hitting the shelves.  Now the bad news: unfortunately, our eCommerce (website) inventory is depleted and we won't have any available for Father's Day sales.  Some of our trusted retailers such as Surfas do have it in stock if you need it this week.

Thanks for bearing with us and it is worth the wait!

We Listen. Corn Syrup is leaving our BBQ Sauce. For Good

We listen to you, our loyal customers.  Based on your feedback about what is important to you in ingredients and nutrition, we've decided to remove corn syrup from our unique, delicious Oaky & Smoky BBQ sauce.  We're just about finished with the new recipe and we will hopefully have a new batch going soon.  The flavor will be the same, if not a little better.  We're going to sell off and enjoy our remaining inventory before the updated recipe hits the shelves.

Thank you for your feedback and support.  Keep it coming!

Warm weather is time for seafood!

We've been hunkered down and wrapped up to stay warm over the last couple of weeks, yes, even here in California!  This blast of warm air has me thinking of picking up a couple pieces of nice fish from Santa Monica Seafood or Manhattan Meats.

What seasoning do I recommend?  Monterey Seafood Seasoning is the obvious answer, but I'm going to make another recommendation.

Oaky & Smoky: ideal for a heartier fish such as roasted salmon with notes of smoky chipotle balanced with a hint of sweetness.  Think of cedar-plank-roasting in a bottle.  Delicious on grilled Mahi mahi too and for fish tacos.  Nice with a peppery Syrah or Pinot Noir or with a hoppy, El Segundo Brewing Company IPA

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

First ever Flavors-of-California event this Saturday (1/12) in Malibu!

It's this Saturday, January 12th for the first Flavors-of-California event at the Rosenthal Estate Winery tasting room in Malibu.  We’ve teamed up with Q-Time BBQ, Ojai’s  best BBQ caterer to serve up a delicious BBQ lunch seasoned with California Rancher’s local seasonings & BBQ sauce.  We’re taking it a step further by pairing aspects of the savory lunch with Rosenthal’s delicious, local, Malibu wines.  Savor Santa Maria-style tri-tip, Hog Wild-seasoned pork tenderloin, and tender Oaky & Smoky-seasoned chicken breasts along with all the fixings.  And wait until you taste Rosenthal's delicous "Block M" Cabernet Sauvignon!  What could be better than an afternoon of California’s finest of all things local?
